SAILOR'S VALENTINE IN AN OCTAGONAL MAHOGANY CASE that has a gilt inner lining. This was always made to be a single valentine and is not half of a folding type. 13" wide. Condition overall very good noting a few age cracks in the wood, typical separation/shrinkage at a few of the joints. As usual a couple of small shells loose in the case but noting you'd notice without very close inspection. Nice age color throughout. Circa 1850. Nice looking example.
