ALL BRASS, EBENEZER PIERCE, BREECH-LOADING WHALING GUN made circa 1880 by his nephew Frank E. Brown, New Bedford, Mass. Skeletal stock cast integral with the frame. 19.5" l. barrel that tips down by means of lever on the left side of the gun. Also has a larger lever on the right side that cocks the gun. Has a hollow socket on the underside of the stock. Serial number "10" deep stamped in several places on the gun. Overall length 38". Condition excellent having just two round head screws replaced. Brass somewhat bright from being cleaned several years ago. A heavy and quite impressive looking brass whale gun.
